Hertfordshire is taking its investment proposition to a global audience this October, with Invest Hertfordshire joining the UK Cities & Partners delegation at EXPO REAL 2026.
Taking place in Munich from 5-7 October, EXPO REAL brings together investors, developers, cities, regions and professional advisers from across the international real estate and investment market.
As part of the UKCAP delegation, Invest Hertfordshire will showcase the county’s diverse investment pipeline and connect with international investors, developers and businesses looking to invest and grow in the UK.
Positioned between London, Cambridge and Oxford, Hertfordshire combines strategic connectivity, a highly skilled workforce and a globally recognised innovation economy. The county is home to established strengths across life sciences, advanced manufacturing, film and creative industries, alongside a pipeline of major regeneration, mixed-use development, employment and innovation opportunities.
Invest Hertfordshire provides a countywide gateway for investors, developers and occupiers looking to explore opportunities and build long-term partnerships.
The county’s £50bn economy is supported by more than 67,000 active businesses, with 41.5% of residents educated to NVQ Level 4 or above and a population of approximately 1.2 million.
Among the opportunities being showcased through the 2026 UK Investment Prospectus are four major development projects spanning regeneration, transport, residential, commercial, leisure and employment uses.
Borehamwood Town Centre presents a major mixed-use regeneration opportunity, combining homes, leisure, culture, hotel, commercial and health uses within a thriving film and television cluster anchored by Elstree Studios, BBC Elstree Centre and Sky Studios Elstree.
Stevenage Station Gateway is a 30.5-acre, transport-led regeneration opportunity delivering homes, employment space, leisure and education, with more than £50m already committed to infrastructure and major employers including Airbus, MBDA and Autolus.
Watford Junction comprises a 19-hectare collection of development sites centred on one of the region’s busiest transport hubs, offering potential for residential, commercial, office, leisure and hotel development.
Coopers Green will create a new 247-acre community on the edge of Hatfield, with capacity for 2,000 homes alongside commercial, leisure, education and community uses. The scheme has an anticipated GDV of £500m and opportunities remain for investment and delivery partners across future phases.
Melanie Miller, Inward Investment & Placemaking Lead at Invest Hertfordshire, said:
