Global Law firm Clifford Chance has been named as UK Cities & Partners’ (UKCAP) new strategic partner for 2024, an initiative bringing together public and private sector partners to collectively attract and unlock large-scale investment across the UK. Clifford Chance will act as UKCAP’s principal global strategic partner over the next three years to help broker relationships and identify new investment opportunities between international private capital focused investors and UKCAP’s project promotors and City Regions.
The firm’s real estate team will contribute their skill and knowledge of complex real estate transactions and projects, together with their experience of how to structure and fund such transactions, as well as access to the firm’s global investor and client base.
Alis Pay Co-head of Clifford Chance’s Global Real Estate Sector comments: “This partnership is the beginning of an exciting journey and one we hope will provide expedited growth to UKCAP’s existing drivers to increase private investment allocation into UK real assets. We know that there is immense investment potential within the UK, and we look forward to our collective efforts with the UKCAP team and its other partners in progressing these key investment relationships to deliver long term value and change across the country.”
Jon Lister Project Director at UK Cities & Partners adds: “Clifford Chance’s long-term commitment to the UK Investment Programme and the wealth of market knowledge and legal expertise that they will bring to the group and in supporting our city regions will be invaluable.”
UKCAP’s existing investment prospectus showcases over £50 billion of investment opportunities across 26 major projects in the UK. The organisation will work with Clifford Chance as strategic partner, as well as other partners and cities to continue to develop the prospectus.
